We looked at everything broken about dating apps and instead of writing policies against it, we built a product where the problems simply cannot happen.

On most dating apps, around 70% of users are men. That means men get almost no matches, and women get messages from a hundred strangers a day. We run a live system that watches both sides. When one gets too heavy, new sign-ups pause on that side until it levels out. Nobody else bothers doing this.

Every person on HOWDDY has uploaded a government ID and done a live face check. Both have been verified. If a profile says someone is 28 and based in Mumbai, that has actually been confirmed. You cannot create a fake profile here. The door does not open without the check.

There is no download link. You need a personal invite from someone already on the platform. Every member gets four invites total. When you invite someone, you are putting your reputation behind them. If they behave badly, it comes back to you. That is what makes this different.

Reports go to a real moderation team, not an algorithm. Three confirmed violations and your account is permanently closed. Because every account is tied to a verified government ID, you cannot simply sign up again with a new email. That traceability is the whole point.

Most companies say they take security seriously. We built HOWDDY so that even if someone broke into our servers, there would be almost nothing useful to find. That is not a claim. It is how the thing was designed from day one.

Nothing gets quietly edited after the fact

Your membership record, ban history, and referral chain are stored on the Polygon blockchain across thousands of independent computers. Nobody owns those servers. Once something is written there, no one can edit or delete it. Not even us.

Immutable Records

Your ID goes to our verification partner, not to us

Your Aadhaar or passport goes to Digio, our KYC partner. All we receive is a simple yes or no: the check passed, or it did not. We never see the document itself. We genuinely have no way to look up which ID belongs to which account.

We cannot read your messages, even if we wanted to

Every conversation uses Signal Protocol encryption through XMTP. By the time a message reaches our servers, it is already sealed. We carry the packet from one person to another without being able to read what is inside. If someone subpoenaed us for a conversation, we would hand over scrambled text, because that is all we have.

We can block someone permanently without ever storing their name

When someone is permanently banned, their national ID is converted into a cryptographic fingerprint. That fingerprint follows them across every new email or wallet they try. We can block a person forever without ever storing the actual ID. The system knows who to block without us knowing who they are.

Get an Invite

Someone already on HOWDDY gives you one of their personal invite codes. Without one, you cannot get in. You can also leave your details on the early access form and we will reach out when your city opens.

Verify Who You Are

Upload a government ID and do a quick face check through our verification partner. It takes around two minutes. We never see the document. We only get a confirmation that the check passed.
